The region of Marrakech offers you ideal places and natural sites to bring your family and make happy memories, you can head for the breathtaking Atlas Mountains and explore the three main famous valleys in the Atlas that make the region famous.

Sometimes the crush and bustle of Marrakech gets too overwhelming and we need to get out of the city. Most people that come to visit don’t know there are small towns and beautiful scenery only a short car ride away. the High Atlas Mountains,it provides the opportunity to encounter Moroccan village life firsthand scenic walking is a welcome contrast to the hectic atmosphere of Moroccan cities.

The Ourika Valley:

The Ourika Valley, situated 30 km South of Marrakesh remains one of the most frequented destinations, This pristine valley stands at the base of the Atlas mountains. It’s a great place to enjoy nature, to delight yourself in the sound of the river that flows at the bottom of the valley and to see some Barbary monkeys. And admire the Snow-covered mountains overlook the whole area.

Imlil Valley:

Imlil is a beautiful heaven for hiking in Morrocco! Just the journey to Imlil can take your breath away. The road is twisted and interesting, much less frequented than other Atlas mountains’ valleys in the Marrakech area. A glimpse of the small Berber villages, the lazy river, and the walnut tree leaves shining in the sunlight will be the beginning of your trip.

This mountain village is often the starting out point for people who are climbing to the top of Mount Toubkal. It’s also an excellent base if you simply want to enjoy hiking in the region.

The lake of Lalla Takerkoust:

This place is well known as the heaven of peace and coolness; and it is an ideal place for a quick escape from the heat and noisiness of the red city built-in time of the French protectorate, the Lala Takerkoust Lake provides Marrakech and its region with electricity. In addition, it is beautiful scenery to enjoy many activities at the bottom of the Atlas Mountains.

Asni Valley:

Asni is situated 47 km from Marrakech, it is the starting point for beautiful hikes, the beauty, and purity of its breathtaking landscapes. Around the small villages, orchards, and olives groves follow one another and plunge you into the simple and serene life of rural life.

The area is picturesque with a cluster of Berber villages spread around the valley river. Asni village is situated at the foot of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa.

Oukaimeden:

75 km South of Marrakesh, Oukaïmeden is one of winter stations, the highest of Africa, and probably one of the most original places to go skiing. The fancy strikes suddenly to ski in Morocco. To demonstrate, snowfall is between December and April. The slopes are suitable for all types of skiing. Of course, there is no obligation to the sky, but it is a nice place just to stroll or take the lifts for the sake of the wonderful views of the High Atlas.
