Day 1Casablanca—Rabat—Fez

Welcome to Morocco and the beginning of your exceptional 7 Days Morocco Imperial Cities & Desert Tour from Casablanca holiday! We will pick you up from your hotel/Riad/Airport in Casablanca, we will then venture north to the imperial city and present-day capital of Rabat, a bustling metropolis with a rich history and several worthwhile sights. Discover the Hassan Tower, a minaret of the incomplete mosque and Mausoleum of Mohamed V. Today you’ll travel to Fez, our first stop today is Volubilis, a UNESCO world heritage site home to Morocco’s best-preserved Roman ruins. a fascinating former Roman stronghold with colonnaded streets, various ancient homes, buildings, and olive presses.
From Volubilis, we will drive to Meknes, a beautiful city with a smaller, less busy Medina than what you’ll find in Fez .you can explore gardens, palaces; the impressive gate of Bab al-Mansour, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail is also worthwhile. Later in the afternoon, you’ll arrive in Fes, the “spiritual capital of Morocco” After you check into your Hotel for the night, stroll the city, taking in its vibrant sights, sounds, and smells.

Day 2Exploring the imperial city of Fez

More than just a hat with a twirling tassel, Fez is a jewel box of exotic delights on this best of Morocco tour. Today is your opportunity to see the UNESCO protected Fez Medina through the eyes of a local, with your own private guide, The maze of arms-width alleyways and donkey-width roads of the UNESCO protected Fez medina – said to be around nine thousand of them, (although no-one says who counted them) – are confusing even to those who have spent years living in this delightful city. Your guide will unfold the hidden stories and tucked-away corners, the minutiae of daily life and the magnificence of its Maderas and palaces. You see the fabulous Fez as only a true local can know. Day 3Fez - Atlas Mountains - Midelt - Errachidia - Merzouga

Start your day bright and early and travel south toward Merzouga, we will pass through the alpine town of Ifrane, then we will visit the cedars forest in Azrou where are the monkeys, drive across the Middle Atlas Mountains.before stopping for lunch in Midelt (the ‘apple city’),. Continue over the Tizi n’Talghomt pass and into the Ziz Valley, known for its hidden oases and palm tree clusters. Continue on to Erfoud, known for its date festival and fossil mining. Here you can visit a local collective to learn more about the process and meet some local artisans. we continue towards Merzouga where you will have a relaxing night in the hotel, you’ll be fully rested for the next day’s Sahara adventure.

Day 4Explore Merzouga area & Night in Desert Camp Sahara

Wake early to catch a desert sunrise, before trying your skill at sandboarding. You will also have the option of an ATV tour in the Erg Chebbi desert dunes, the largest dunes in the desert of Morocco. You’ll have this morning to explore Merzouga before preparing for a memorable night under the stars. We will visit the Gnawa people, originally slaves brought from Sudan, to experience their music and lifestyle. Enjoy the panoramic view behind the Erg Chebbi of sand dunes. Afterward, we will head to the nomad’s families in their tents and having tea with them, absolutely you will discover a new sense of life. In the afternoon, meet your camel, trek through the desert, over the red dunes, until all you see is sand and sky, and the quiet is only broken by the occasional snort of the camels and the soft sound of their steps on the sand. Stop to watch the sunset along the way, to arrive at your camp, after some time to admire the sand dunes and the surrounding landscapes, get ready for a Moroccan dinner served under the stars next to the campfire. After dinner, you will gather around the fire to admire a typical Berber music performed using drums under the sky full of stars.
After having tea there we continue to finish the tour by visiting where you can see the fossils and the oasis of Tissardmine in the afternoon, we will come back to Merzouga, then jump on your camels for a ride to camp. You don’t always have to take a camel to reach the camp, some are more remote and require a 4×4 but there are always camel rides as an activity, you’ll be guided all the way out to explore within the mysterious sand-sea of the Erg-Chebbi. The night is spent dining alfresco under the stars followed by sweet dreams in a Bedouin-style tent or night under the stars (preferably in summer)

Day 5Merzouga –Rissani—Georges Valley—Dades Valley—Ouarzazate

It will be a remise not to rise with the sun as it begins its glorious route for another day. If you wake up at first light, take a seat on the sand dunes and watch the sunrise slowly and hang in the dusty summer skies for a moment or two. We will return to a local hotel, where a welcome hot shower and breakfast awaits. Leave the dunes behind and stop in the market town of Rissani, entering through its impressive gate. Known for its livestock auction it’s worth your time finding the ‘donkey parking lot’ to delight your senses. Pass through the Dades Valley and Boumalne Dades. Stop in Kela’a M’gouna to admire the cultivated rose bushes. Visit a rose collective to see the process of converting rose petals into rose water and oil. Continue west to stop in Ouarzazate and discover how its nearby regions have been featured in movies, including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Black Hawk Down. Overnight accommodation will be at a riad in Ouarzazate.

Day 6Ouarzazate –Ait ben Haddou--The High Atlas Mountains—Marrakech

After breakfast in the hotel, we can visit Taourirt Kasbah. This former Glaoui residence, situated on the edge of the town, is considered to be one of the most beautiful kasbahs of Morocco. After that, we will drive outside the town to enjoy a private visit to the Atlas Corporation Studios. Before we head to the famous Kasbah Ait Benhaddou,30 kilometers from Ouarzazate. The kasbah is one of the most intriguing red earth castles lining the ancient road of the Kasbahs and is a UNESCO world heritage site, add to that, the Kasbah has been the backdrop to many historical films, including Lawrence of Arabia, The Last Temptation of Christ, Gladiator, and Game of Thrones. then our Fes Merzouga Desert trip will end by crossing the high Atlas mountains, passing through the Berber town of Taddert and over the 2260 meters high Tizi-in-Tichka pass with stops for panoramic views and taking pictures of the Berber villages and its beautiful landscapes. Before we reach the red city, Marrakech, we drop you off at your hotel/Riad.

Day 7Marrakech - Casablanca airport (3hrs)
