2days/1night from Marrakech to the Agafay desert

Your 2 days tour from Marrakech to Agafay desert starts here! your driver will pick you from your Riad/Hotel at 9h00 am in an air-conditioned car and set off to discover the Agafay desert, just 40 mins from Marrakech. You travel off-road passing Tahnaoute. Take in views of the surrounding olive groves and orange and lemon trees before reaching the gateway to simple and beautiful, Berber nature. we settle down for a while in a beautiful place called Asni, one of the most stunning countrysides. Take a break to enjoy views of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains (as described above snow from December/January to March, following weather conditions) and the warm company of the Moroccan locals. Proceed to the Plateau Kik, the gateway to the Agafay Desert and an area that promotes the feeling of freedom and inspiration. Stop for a traditional Moroccan lunch at the lake, enjoying a moment surrounded by wonderful scenery. In the late afternoon, embark on a sunset camel ride. Like in the “Lawrence of Arabia,” travel to another era as you admire the earth’s unspoiled beauty. The next direction is to the camel ride point where you can set off for a pleasant half an hour stroll on the camels before arriving at your destination the Agafay Camp, where friendly staff will be waiting to warmly welcome you in Moroccan style. Enjoy a delightful dinner with your friends or family in the desert. Settle in for the night in comfortable and tastefully-designed bivouacs below a bewitching sky. In summer months, the beds can be taken outside at your request to sleep under the stars!

Rise with the dawn to watch the sun beginning its daily arc with a cool blue morning sky as it illuminates the desert shadows before becoming a glowing ball of fire, accompanied by a typical breakfast at the camp. Start on the road back to Marrakech at around 10:30 AM and enjoy completely different views than on the way there. Take in vistas of the High Atlas Mountains. Feel free to ask your driver to stop for photos before arriving back at your accommodation in Marrakech where the 2days desert trip will be coming to an end. Please note: There are more activities much more than just camel trek. Horseback riding, hot air balloon or quad bike riding are a few other activities that you can choose from or bring some cards and board games to bond with your travel companions. Some camps also offer hammam and/or massage treatments to guests in specially equipped tents.
